The Sojourning Sofa was founded as a result of a shared vision between Muslim and Christian students. Our interfaith cooperative gives students a concrete way to reduce waste on campus and make a impact on global environmental issues.
These Chacos have walked many miles. They have taken me place to place near my home in Illinois, hiking in South Dakota, and walking with friends and colleagues in Delhi, India. I hope you will continue their journey and walk in peace!

This sofa was inherited from my parents. It’s always been a part of my life – it was my favorite place to watch Saturday morning cartoons and my favorite place to do my homework as a child. When I went to college, the sofa came with me and it continued to be my favorite place to pray and study. My friends and I congregated on the couch for Bible study and fellowship- it has supported a lot of learning in its time! I am moving away now, and I am hoping that this sofa will find a new home and continue supporting the learning of another college student!
